We protect our community from juvenile offenders by providing a safe and secure environment through integrity and professional service.
Are you interested in serving our community?
Would you like to be a positive role model for our troubled youth… some of who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs, some that are homeless, some that are victims of abuse?
Are you interested in feeling the personal reward that comes with helping direct an impressionable young person to a better life?
If you answered “yes” to these questions, then perhaps a career at the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center is for you! You will be challenged, as you will see a certain percentage of kids and young adults at their worst, but you will work in an environment of trust and teamwork to build them up into independent, positive adults.
Not everyone can be a corrections officer. It is a noble calling to work in a correctional environment. It is not for everyone; however, if you possess integrity and a desire to serve others, strongly consider joining us in the important work we do!
